Dengie Healthy Tummy Vs Ulser Lite

Dengie Ulser Lite vs Helathy Tummy

Which is more suitable for my horse?

Ulser Lite is a soft tasty blend of high quality oat straw and chopped and pelleted British grown grass for maximum fibre content whilst being low in calories (8MJ/kg). This blend of fibres are suitable for good doers, overweight and obese horses.

In comparison Healthy Tummy is a blend of pure chopped and pelleted alfalfa and has a higher inclusion of rapeseed oil making it higher in calories (11.5MJ/kg) and more suitable for horses that are in higher levels of work or those that struggle to maintain condition and weight.

Both products include alfalfa pellets for natural buffering due to their high levels of naturally occurring and bio-available calcium, plus ADM Protexin In-Feed Formula to provide prebiotics and yeast for gastric health. They also include a unique blend of tasty herbs.

Ulser Lite has been formulated as a straight feed with no added vitamins and minerals to maximize its flexibility. This means that any amount can be fed according to the horse’s requirements alongside a source of vits and mins to provide a balanced diet. Whereas Healthy Tummy is a nutritionally balanced feed and includes a high specification vitamin and premix. When fed at the recommended feeding rate there is no need to add any mix, cubes or supplements to balance your horse’s ration.
